FINDING AND LICENSING FILM CLIPS
1. Browsing
There are over eight thousand 35 mm original licensable footage clips in
the BlackLight library and the collection is updated regularly. To
preview a variety of the imagery available click the Ideas tab and
explore the special galleries.
2. Keyword Search
Enter a word or phrase in the upper right search field
and click Enter.
3. Getting Detailed Clip Info
Click any image to view a page displaying detailed
information about that film clip.
4. Active Search
Launch a narrower, more refined search by using the
Active Search feature to select an assortment of words
and phrases on any detailed clip info page.
5. Using the Film Clip ID
If you know the film clip ID number of the clip you would
like to view, enter that number in the search field and
click Enter.
6. Download Free Preview Clips
To download a free preview file of any film clip, go the
detail page for that clip, then in the QuickTime
window
right-click the image (PC users) or control-click the image
(MAC users) and save the QuickTime
file to your computer.
7. Store clips in your Media
Bin
With a registered account you can store any film clip in a
Media Bin and return to it at any time. To add a film clip
to your media bin, click the folder icon beneath the film
clip image.
With the film clip stored, you
can continue your search,
share your media bin with others, or send bin and request quote from the BlackLight Films sales representative to discuss
licensing details. Click SUBMIT MEDIA BIN to email your selected clips to
BlackLight Films and a sales representative will contact you.
